Spring is here at Bynum School and there is much to smile about and much to anticipate!
The Helen Greathouse Children's Festival sponsored by XTO Energy and Production Specialty was fantastic! Thanks to all our sponsors who continue to support this event. All funds raised are used to provide direct services to our students. A special thanks to our Children's Festival Committee members and all our volunteers. We could never pull this off year in and year out without all of you!
We are so excited about our upcoming Awards Banquet to be held on May 16 at St. Stevens Catholic Church in Midland. We will begin serving dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with our State of the School address given by Karmen Bryant, President of our Board of Directors. In addition to student awards, we will also honor selected community partners. Best of all, three Bynum students will graduate this evening! We are so very proud of them!
Our last school day this semester will be Thursday, May 22. After two weeks of rest and relaxation, we will all return on June 9 for summer at Bynum School and "We Are The World" camp held at Midland Children's Rehabilitation Center. It promises to be a full and FUN six weeks for students and faculty. If you would like information about our summer program, please give us a call at the school or just stop by. We have a limited number of spots available so hurry!
Finally, we are eagerly anticipating the start of our brand new Bynum Preschool serving precious 3-5 year olds with and without disabilities. More information will be available very soon.
We are always happy to talk to those of you who are interested in Bynum School. We are thankful every day for all of you who support this school and our students.
